Part 1

The bible tells us in John 3:16 “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost ) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” Amplified version

As children of the Most High God we need to know and understand what His original intent was when He created man and gave him dominion over the earth. We also need to know how to fulfill our purpose on earth and follow His instructions. His instructions are found in His last will and testament for mankind, the bible.

Why are we here? The answer is found in Matthew 22:37-40, given by Jesus himself. We are here to love God and to love our neighbors as ourselves. No it can’t be that simple you say. You are right we are not talking about the human emotion call love, but its heavenly counterpart which is action.

When God loved, He gave. As His children, we need to mimic Him just like Jesus did. He made provision for us to be able to love like Him by giving us His Holy Spirit who continuously fills our heart with His love. He knows that left to our own devices we can only love based on how we feel about people. Our love unlike The Father’s love is conditional. We love people because they love us, for what they do for us, what they give us, who they are and what they look like and a bunch of other reasons.

The Lord began to talk to me about loving people His way in December 2014. He told me to study 1 Corinthians chapter 15, to meditate on it day and night and to do what it says. I am going to share with you what The Lord has been teaching me about love. In part 2 we are going to discover love together. May you experience a fresh outpouring of God’s love for you now.
