How to stand in faith
As believers in Christ Jesus we are supposed to walk by faith and not by sight. This simply means that instead of looking at your circumstances to believe in God’s promises. 2 Corinthians 1:20 tells us that God’s promises are yes and amen. So, what do you do when you are waiting for The Lord to fulfill his promises in your life. You are waiting for healing, salvation for a love one, promotion, a ministry or whatever you are believing for.
The first and most important thing you need to do is to keep your eyes on Jesus. The second is steer clear of faith killers. Be careful who you share the dreams that God put in your heart. Satan uses people often those closest to you to sow doubt, fear and unbelief in your heart. Matthew 7:6 tells us: “Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.” Excellent advice, after answering the who what and when from well-meaning folks you find yourself in the company of the triplets from hell. Fear, doubt, and unbelief.
The third thing is absolutely no murmuring or complaining to the people around you, do this instead. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares for you. 1 Peter5:7. And lastly hold on to the word of God, pray them, memorize and meditate on them. Why? Because God’s word is true. Psalm 33:4. God put his word above his name. Psalm 138:2. His word never return void, Isaiah 55:11. Angels are activated when they hear his word, Psalm 103:20. As for me, I have borrowed the Shunamite woman answer in 2Kings 4:26 “All is well” her answer did not match her reality. Her only son laid dead at home a fact she refused to accept and she went after a miracle which she got. She received her son alive back from the dead. So shall it be for you if you would position yourself and declare that all is well regardless of your circumstance.
