The second thing the Lord told me to be intentional about is seeking His face.  I truly feel that we are in a season where deep is calling unto deep. The Lord is looking for us to be real, to have a meaningful relationship with Him.  A relationship that goes beyond what we want from Him and what He can do for us. I have met many Spirit-filled Christians who like me, have felt this longing and intense desire in response to Jesus’s invitation to come to the secret place.

I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. Proverbs 8:17 NIV

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 NIV

To this effect I signed up along with over two hundred people for The Secret Place Experience, an online mentoring class with Todd Bentley in February. We used Todd’s Secret Place book and workbook, had live teachings and soaking sessions. We also learned a truth that a lot of Christians choose to forget; The Holy Spirit is the One who lead us to Jesus.

The Lord through some of his Prophets, reminded us this year of the importance of intimacy with The Holy Spirit. For the past three weeks, everywhere I look pastors were either preaching about communion with the Holy Spirit or the secret place. I believe the bridegroom is looking for a firm commitment from His bride. We have to lay everything aside and say a resounding yes to Him regardless of any trials or troubles we may be facing. In the midst of troubles David said in Psalm 24:4-5

One thing I have asked of the Lord, that I will seek:  That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple.  Divine protection is one of the benefit of the secret place. Psalm 91 elaborate these benefits in great details. Let stop being lukewarm and seek his face fervently. Let’s follow David’s example in psalm 27:8

My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me” And my heart responds, “Lord I am coming.”

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Corinthians 13:14 NIV
