God’s Perfect Timing

Although we are very familiar with the stories of  Abraham, Joseph,
Moses, David and many others in the bible we tend to overlook the time between their promises from God to when they actually manifested. Many Christians actually give up on God in the process of waiting on the fulfillment of their promises.  God’s timing in not our timing. Timing is very important to God, we see that over and over in scriptures. For example Genesis 4:3 “And in the process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.”  Again in Galatians 4:4 “But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his son, made of a woman, made under the law” (KJV).

We can come to God as we are, but He does not leave us the same way. Our brand new spirit require spiritual milk in order to grow. The word of God is that spiritual milk. The word of God causes us the change the way we think, the way we act, and the way we feel. Just like any responsible parent would not give a 2 year old a car to drive, God does not bless his children with things that can destroy them. He is all about our character, the motives of our heart and whether we want to build our own kingdom or His kingdom. I received my calling from the Lord in 2006,” Be transparent” echoed in my spirit for hours after the vision . My book, The Gift Twice Given was  birthed in 2008. You may ask why so long? Process time. I needed that time for God to do a work in me.  I had so much pain, hurt and disappointment. I needed to mature spiritually and to get to know Him as a Good Father.

Twice, I attempted to publish The Gift Twice Given. The first time, I woke up crying from a dream in which the publisher had totally changed the story and published the book without my permission. The second time, a random lady stopped me on a sidewalk to tell me “The reason your book it not published it’s because you’re missing a chapter, you haven’t live it yet”, that turned out to be true. Over the years, I hung onto several scriptures with these two being my top go-to ones. Proverbs 16:1 ” Go ahead and make all the plans you want, but it’s the Lord who will ultimately direct your steps.” Proverbs 19:21 “A person may have many ideas concerning God’s plan for his life, but only the designs of his purpose will succeed in the end” (tPt).  Now I am in alignment with heaven. The Lord lead me to my tribe at Renaissance Church and my Pastors not only recognized but blessed what God is doing through me.

In my process time, I had many opportunities  to invite the Lord  to search me, to purify my motives over and over again. I found out that I don’t want to just sell books, I want the anointing of the Holy Spirit to bring freedom to women and transform their lives. I want to make Jesus famous! This view goes well with my life’s verse: “But God chose those whom the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise, and God chose the puny and powerless to shame the high and mighty. He chose the lowly, the laughable in the world’s eyes, nobodies so that He would shame the somebodies. For He chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is regarded as prominent, so that there would no place for prideful boasting in God’s presence” ( tPt).

I know who I am in Christ Jesus, a reformer. I long to see generations transformed for the glory of God.  I am a willing vessel in the hand of a Mighty God. Radical obedience is my life’s goal, thus I wrote The Gift Twice Given with complete transparency like the Lord asked me to.  Keep an eye out for the eBook version of The Gift Twice Given which will be available as a free download for three days.

May the anointing of The Holy One of Israel set you free in Jesus name.
